Sustainable Cooperative Entrepreneurship

The regional cooperative Westerkwartier is chosen as one of the best innovations in Europe by the European Association of Development Agencies (EURADA).  

The Sustainable Cooperative Entrepreneurship research group studies new types of regional collaboration between entrepreneurs, knowledge institutes, government entities at all levels and community-based organisations. The research group will not address these questions from the outside looking in, but as an active participant in regional transition processes. In this relation, the research group will be studying new organisational models such as area cooperatives, with the northern Netherlands home to the first such enterprises.
