¿Quién hace la crítica de las redes? ¿Quién habla de las infraestructuras de la redes? Se pregunta Geert Lovink, uno de los teóricos del internet contemporáneos más puntuales. A diario, millones de usuarios actualizan sus timelines, actualizan fotos, documentan su bienestar o malestar y lo comparten en sus redes sociales. Somos usuarios tentados a no abandonar nunca estos espacios, aunque en el fondo reneguemos de la lógica absorbente de dichas redes. ¿Qué necesitamos para librar esta batalla con la imperante necesidad de actualizarnos o declararnos activistas en la red en épocas de flujo perpetuo ? Esa misma red que también implica lógicas de vigilancia, mercado y control. Este libro reúne una serie de ensayos telúricos que nos lleva a pensar en el trabajo, la economía, las redes organizadas, los algoritmos, la vigilancia y la urgente necesidad de construir redes sostenibles para el intercambio de ideas y que no sean no únicamente espacios marcados por los intereses de unos cuantos.
The WHEELS app was developed using the intervention mapping framework. Intervention goals were determined based on a needs assessment, after which behavior change strategies were selected to achieve these goals. These were applied in an app that was pretested on ease of use and satisfaction, followed by minor adjustments. Subsequently, a 12-week pre-post pilot study was performed to explore usability, feasibility, and effectiveness of the app. Participants received either a remote-guided or stand-alone intervention. Responses to semistructured interviews were analyzed using content analysis, and questionnaires (System Usability Score [SUS], and Usefulness, Satisfaction, and Ease) were administered to investigate usability and feasibility. Effectiveness was determined by measuring outcomes on physical activity, nutrition, sleep quality (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index), body composition, and other secondary outcomes pre and post intervention, and by calculating effect sizes (Hedges g).

BACKGROUND: Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important for wheelchair users' well-being, as it can have a major impact on their daily functioning. Mobile health (mHealth) apps can support a healthy lifestyle; however, these apps are not necessarily suitable for wheelchair users with spinal cord injury or lower limb amputation. Therefore, a new mHealth app (WHEELS) was developed to promote a healthy lifestyle for this population.OBJECTIVE: The objectives of this study were to develop the WHEELS mHealth app, and explore its usability, feasibility, and effectiveness.METHODS: The WHEELS app was developed using the intervention mapping framework. Of the 21 participants included in the pilot study, 14 participants completed the study. The interviews and questionnaires showed a varied user experience. Participants scored a mean of 58.6 (SD 25.2) on the SUS questionnaire, 5.4 (SD 3.1) on ease of use, 5.2 (SD 3.1) on satisfaction, and 5.9 (3.7) on ease of learning. Positive developments in body composition were found on waist circumference (P=.02, g=0.76), fat mass percentage (P=.004, g=0.97), and fat-free mass percentage (P=.004, g=0.97). Positive trends were found in body mass (P=.09, g=0.49), BMI (P=.07, g=0.53), daily grams of fat consumed (P=.07, g=0.56), and sleep quality score (P=.06, g=0.57).CONCLUSIONS: The WHEELS mHealth app was successfully developed. The interview outcomes and usability scores are reasonable. Although there is room for improvement, the current app showed promising results and seems feasible to deploy on a larger scale.
MUSE supports the CIVITAS Community to increase its impact on urban mobility policy making and advance it to a higher level of knowledge, exchange, and sustainability.As the current Coordination and Support Action for the CIVITAS Initiative, MUSE primarily engages in support activities to boost the impact of CIVITAS Community activities on sustainable urban mobility policy. Its main objectives are to:- Act as a destination for knowledge developed by the CIVITAS Community over the past twenty years.- Expand and strengthen relationships between cities and stakeholders at all levels.- Support the enrichment of the wider urban mobility community by providing learning opportunities.Through these goals, the CIVITAS Initiative strives to support the mobility and transport goals of the European Commission, and in turn those in the European Green Deal.Breda University of Applied Sciences is the task leader of Task 7.3: Exploitation of the Mobility Educational Network and Task 7.4: Mobility Powered by Youth Facilitation.
Energy transition is key to achieving a sustainable future. In this transition, an often neglected pillar is raising awareness and educating youth on the benefits, complexities, and urgency of renewable energy supply and energy efficiency. The Master Energy for Society, and particularly the course “Society in Transition”, aims at providing a first overview on the urgency and complexities of the energy transition. However, educating on the energy transition brings challenges: it is a complex topic to understand for students, especially when they have diverse backgrounds. In the last years we have seen a growing interest in the use of gamification approaches in higher institutions. While most practices have been related to digital gaming approaches, there is a new trend: escape rooms. The intended output and proposed innovation is therefore the development and application of an escape room on energy transition to increase knowledge and raise motivation among our students by addressing both hard and soft skills in an innovative and original way. This project is interdisciplinary, multi-disciplinary and transdisciplinary due to the complexity of the topic; it consists of three different stages, including evaluation, and requires the involvement of students and colleagues from the master program. We are confident that this proposed innovation can lead to an improvement, based on relevant literature and previous experiences in other institutions, and has the potential to be successfully implemented in other higher education institutions in The Netherlands.
Bedrijfsovername is een grote uitdaging voor agrarische familiebedrijven, waarbij het sociaal-emotioneel welzijn van de familie is geïdentificeerd als een belangrijk knelpunt. Vanuit het Nederlands Agrarisch Jongeren Kontakt (NAJK) en het Ministerie van Landbouw, Natuur en Voedselkwaliteit (LNV) is in 2019 het beleidsprogramma Duurzame Bedrijfsopvolging gestart om het aantal succesvolle bedrijfsoverdrachten te verhogen. Een belangrijk onderdeel hiervan is een op te richten Kenniscentrum. Dit project wil het Kenniscentrum voeden met onderzoek naar de familiale dimensie van bedrijfsopvolging. Het praktijkonderzoek wordt uitgevoerd door een consortium bestaande uit het Lectoraat Familiebedrijven van Hogeschool Windesheim, Aeres Hogeschool Dronten, Van Hall Larenstein Leeuwarden, het Fries Sociaal Planbureau, het NAJK en LTO Noord. Doel van dit project is het inventariseren en evalueren van de ondersteunende advies- en kennisinfrastructuur op de familiale dimensie bij het opvolgingstraject van agrarische familiebedrijven. Dit doen we door inzichten op te halen bij zestien agrarische bedrijfsfamilies, in verschillende stadia van het opvolgingsproces. In het project vergelijken we hoe de families en de ondersteunende advies- en kennispartijen omgaan met de belangen en behoeften van verschillende familieleden (opvolgers, overdragers, partners en niet-opvolgers) tijdens het opvolgingsproces. Daarnaast wordt kwantitatief onderzoek gedaan onder studenten op de twee deelnemende agrarische hogescholen, om de behoeften en verwachtingen van potentiële opvolgers en niet-opvolgers ten aanzien van bedrijfsoverdracht in kaart te brengen. Het project moet resulteren in gevalideerde verbetervoorstellen (stappenplannen) voor zowel agrarische bedrijfsfamilies als adviseurs gericht op de verschillende stadia van bedrijfsopvolging. Ook worden spelvormen ontwikkeld om moeilijke en relationeel ingewikkelde onderwerpen beter bespreekbaar te maken in het agrarisch onderwijs. Tot slot worden de resultaten van het onderzoek geschikt gemaakt voor gebruik binnen agrarische scholen om het curriculum over de zachte kant van bedrijfsopvolging te versterken.
