Dr. Felipe N. Martins is a Senior Lecturer-Researcher at Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, where he is a member of the research group Sensors and Smart Systems. He is involved in courses and projects related to robotics and electronics at both the bachelor's and master's levels. With a background in Electrical Engineering, his PhD research focused on modeling, simulation, and adaptive nonlinear control of mobile robots. Before transitioning to academia, he spent 4 years working as an engineer in the design and maintenance of industrial automation machines. He also has over 10 years of experience in applying and developing educational robotics, including organizing robotics competitions like the RoboCup Junior. He received the Best Paper Award at OL2A 2023, as well as the Best Paper (2018) and Third Best Paper (2012) awards at the Workshop on Robotics in Education (WRE), and the Best Participation award at VISUM 2015.
