Sustainable Financing and Entrepreneurship

The most important objective and teaching and research remit of the Research Group is to develop new knowledge related to sustainable financial management of medium-sized businesses in the North of the Netherlands in order to support existing and new entrepreneurs with their businesses. The core themes are: ethics & integrity and responsibility & continuity. 

In concrete terms, the professorship seeks to investigate how and where ethical and socially responsible thinking may become a condition for our (business) actions. The research results will also be used to update the curricula of the degree programmes of the School of Financial and Economic Management. "Students have to be infused with ethical thinking and acting," says Margreet Boersma.
